I remember when I was first getting started online. I was studying the different kinds of income models when it came to blogging including products.
Watching the experts create products:
I saw experts out there creating products that were named after them. I studied Eben Pagan and others that were offering totally unique solutions that were bundled up versions of their own expertise.
As I studied, I began to learn exactly how to create digital products and how to bundle up my own experiences knowledge or expertise. This is what I call productizing your knowledge or “packaging yourself” and it’s something that almost anyone can do.
You have to authentically show value – that you really can change someone’s life or help someone with a certain situation. Being vague is the kiss of death.
If we could imagine being stranded out in a ship in some perfect storm… Naturally, we would want a captain that has sailed the seas before us and knows how to get us home safely.
This is what you should be striving for when you’re creating your digital products or productizing your knowledge. You should imagine that you are taking your tribe for a journey through some rough waters. But your tribe doesn’t worry a bit because they realize you’ve been through this before and you know the way. Yes or yes?
